 Milan-a fashionable international city

Arriving in Milan in the morning at the bus station, I was lucky to find an Italian lady that spoke good English and heading to the central station. We went together to the central station of Milan. The lady just returned from a three week work in a consort for a tourism company in which she was the director managing many people. She travelled a lot and lived in resorts but she said she'd rather go to Miami right now.

The central station of Milan was huge. It looked like a museum from outside with giant sculptures out side on each corner, huge pillars and marble grounds. It looked more like a palace than a station, and as the lady explained, this station was built by Mussolini during his era. The building itself was well worth seeing, though it takes a while to find the bag storage which obviously did not open. Most of the shops in the station were closed ,which reminded me that it was Sunday today.

After went out of the station, I headed south strolling down the street. As some of my friends said, Milan does not have a lot to see but its night life is good! Obviously I was not gonna stay tonight just for the night life.

There was this little park with statues of faces on the ground in a calculated scattered way. The weather was so good with some sunshine and mild soft wind, a few clouds on the sky. In the park, big trees were surrounding it with their leaves living only small gaps to see the sky.

I met a Canadian girl in the part who had been traveling for the past two months. She really took time to enjoy the trip and got a grasp of local culture. A few days here and one week there, and before you realize, the vacation was over. She told me she just took one year off for traveling for  fun. She looked pretty tired and from the conversation with her, I understand that she lived with her grandparents since 15 when her parents

divorced. She was having some difficult times and worked in a restaurant to earn for the study and she was now in her second year of English literature. She wanted to continue two years later her Master in editing. So I gave her some conversational hypnosis and let her know that there were opportunities for her as long as she decided to see them. She set off for her train around looking pretty relaxed and smoothed.

I spent some additional time lying of the bench relaxing and meditating, it took a lot of my tiredness away afterwards.

At 2:30 I set off to the biggest church in town, which is called Duomo. It is the third biggest church in the world. I went inside with a flow of people and have 1 Euro for a candle. I bought one candle and lighted up and put it in the candle holder among hundreds others.

Today just happened to be the Italian Liberation day. When I arrived on the square before the church, there were groups of people parading in road. The Italians were so funny that while there was speech about something of the war soldiers, another group of people paraded nearby. Obviously these two groups of people hate each other and they started to turn up their voice and yell harder to the audience. Later on, another group whose leader or at least the speaker was a young girl, they were passing the square and started using drums and singing to attract attention and compete with the main speaker on the square. Very creative and I doubt you can see it often other places rather than in Italy. Luckily, I put the scene in my video footage for later showing to my friends and fans.

The church of Milan is the third biggest church in the world, so it is huge and very saint in itself. It is Milan's must-see. I sat in the church for another "Mass” in another language I didn’t understand yet, but the song was healing itself.

I spent 3 hours writing journals and getting ready for the next trip and that's right, before you really start to enjoy and to chew the feelings of the city, I was on the train to Rome. The train is very much like a Chinese train. I was in a cabinet with a door and an Italian family, the mother was a small Italian woman around 1.55, and the husband was big around 1.8, the teenage son looked very tan. I had the upper deck to the right and it seemed that the mother was very powerful in an Italian family because she was always telling the son and her husband to do this and that and they followed everything. The cabinet was very comfortable with big beds, sheets provided though I didn't figure out for what usage. We had some light problems because there were many buttons and whichever button we press, there still remained several lights on, so we were laughing about it and I didn’t understand Italy and they didn’t speak English. Finally it was fixed by the conductor by a very smart mover of turning the entire train power off. Then, slowly but firmly, we were moving to Rome “Ojaha”.
